2 Months down, 2 weeks in Virginia

Hola!
Today is my two month mark. Crazy. Two weeks down in Virginia as well. One thing I can say is that there are bugs EVERYWHERE here. There's one that is definitely a new thing for me, that are called sacaidas? or something like that. No clue how to spell it, but they are crazy loud and big. They sound like monkeys in every tree here. And there are frogs just chilling everywhere too. And bees the size of my fist. Not a fan. But I'm learning to become brave.

So yesterday I got to go to the D.C. temple!! Holy cow it is so big, and gorgeous!! It was pretty sad though when we all thought it was going to be the new movie, and most of the missionaries here haven't seen it yet, and then it ended up being the old one at that time.. Super sad. But it's okay. That's not the reason we went :) Can I just say Virginia is beautiful?! So green. Great sunsets. Just love it! Super humid and hot some days, but it's okay.

On Saturday there was a baptism for Esperanza, the girl that got married the weekend before. It was really great, but it's sad that her family didn't really come to support. We're working with that family and trying to get them all to see the importance. But Esperanza is happy. Since there wasn't like anybody there, I lead the music, said the opening prayer, and helped give the gospel principle lesson while she was getting dressed. So fun. But anyways, her neice Heidy, who we have been teaching, is getting baptized on the 21st, so that's our next big event. As of now, we are just trying to find people to teach. Before this last transfer, my companions have been working in Manassas, where the church building is, and where are the hispanics live basically, and it's like 20 minutes away from our apartment. But now, there are 2 hermanas that came into our district, and that is their area. So now we are trying to find spanish speakers in Centerville, where we live. We were knocking the other night, and there was this old white lady that basically got mad at us and said soliciters aren't allowed and stuff. so that was my first rejection. First night really knocking around as well! Super fun. But we talked to these guys Enrique and Miguel, who are super nice and we need to go meet with them. So basically we're just waiting to see what happens next. FINDING is our next goal.
But the spanish is coming along pretty well. Not speaking as much as I would like, but it's good. my district says that it's very good for just getting here, so I'll take their word for it. And I'm starting to really click with my companions, so that's good! We know how to have fun, and still work hard. Well I love you all :) have a fantastic week!!
